Happy Mother's Day

Update on Coleman's health: his blood work came back "fine". Basically no news is good news, they didn't find anything wrong, but they don't have any answers either. We go to see the pediatric pulmonary specialist at CHKD tomorrow. Here are the many smiles of Coleman:

Update...

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, but there hasn't been really anything new to report. Coleman is doing about the same. He continues to struggle with rapid breathing (varies from twice to three times that of a normal baby his age). Yes, it has now been two months that he has been doing this... We had more blood extensive blood work done today and will get results back in a couple of days. Please be praying that the results are good (I don't exactly understand what they are looking for so "good" is as descriptive as i can get --- something with capillaries...)
The encouraging news is that he continues to grow, now weighing in at 13 pounds 7 ounces. Unfortunately all the chub made it hard for them to find a vein on him today to take his blood; never a dull moment. (yes this is a repeat for those of you on the email list...)

Braden is thriving. He favorite activity is going to Busch Gardens with his friends. Yes we are very spoiled in Williamsburg especially because he still gets to go for free! Unfortunately Busch Gardens is only open friday-sunday until Memorial Day, so Braden is quickly learning his days of the week... Braden: "What day is it today Mama?"
Me: "its Wednesday Braden" Braden: "Then Thursday then FRIDAY!!!"
Here are some pictures/videos of his favorite rides with his friends Addy, Sophia, and Jack... he would ride the Griffon if I let him.
He and Addy are actually to short for this ride, but Kristyn and I snuck them on...

Happy 60th Mumba!

After recovering from a nasty stomach flu this week we enjoyed going down to VA Beach to celebrate Mumba's 60th birthday.
Aunt Debbie and Coleman bonded by the pool.
Braden enjoyed playing with all the balloons; even if he wouldn't totally perform for this video...
Coleman's health continues to improve VERY slowly, but still we are encouraged that he does seem to be finally getting better and his breathing is not frantic as consistently as it has been.

Coleman is struggling with RSV for the 5th week now. His rapid breathing "seems" to be more intermittent, but it doesn't seem to bother him all that much. The good news is that his heart his fine. We will see that pediatric pulmonary specialist next week if he doesn't improve.
He doesn't like sleeping laying on his back but he did fall asleep on our walk today... We are all very thankful that newly retired Grandpa Dean has come to visit!

Update on Coleman...

Coleman continues to struggle with his breathing, so today we are off to the pediatric cardiologist at CHKD. The next step would be a pulmonary specialist... yet he smiles.
Despite all the craziness going on; Braden got to visit Busch Gardens twice this past week (it is great living in Williamsburg) and ride all the rides that he was allowed to (and some he wasn't --- he has learned to get up on his tip toes to beat the dreaded height stick) With all that he does now at Busch the train remains the highlight!

Rozy...

Some of you were wondering how Rozy is adjusting to another baby in the house... ...she is just fine and obviously enjoys the baby bobby pillow.

Update...

Well, it has been a crazy couple of weeks with Coleman's breathing issues, but with the RSV diagnosis (on his second test) we have seen some improvements with all the treatments. He still breathes rapidly (pants really) but it is becoming slightly intermittent now which is a huge improvement and we have actually made it 3 days without being at the hospital or doctor! We are very relieved to have a diagnosis and are so thankful for all the encouragement we have received from so many of you during this crazy time.

Coleman has grown accustomed to his breathing treatments...

he even attempts to hold the nebulizer...

but still screams through some of them...

Brotherly love abounds despite the Coleman sickness and crankiness.

Braden is thriving; he talks all the time and definitely has tons of energy. It has been raining here for days, so we decided to take a walk with Rozy anyway. Braden enjoyed it much more then Rozy did... especially because he got to wear his Curious George raincoat. His face is wet in these pictures because he spent most of the walk looking straight up so the rain would hit his face.

We appreciated a visit from Mumba, Papa, Aunt Syd, Cousin Collin, Aunt Miss, and Doug. Braden loves to hug Cousin Collin.
