Christmas in VA Beach

We had lots of fun celebrating Christmas with the Lee Family in VA Beach. Braden enjoyed all the play time with Mumba, Papa, Aunt Miss, Cousin Collin, Uncle Eric and Aunt Syd.

Aunt Miss got Braden a new Curious George... now named "Big G". Braden now enjoys hugging "Big G" and "Little G".

Christmas Morning

We had a great Christmas morning with Braden. After reading the Christmas story and opening stockings in bed we took 2 and half hours to open gifts... not that there were that many gifts... Braden just played with his new piano for an hour before he could open anything else. SO we took a break to eat our Christmas pancakes made in reindeer, gingerbread man, and snowflake(or star to Braden) shapes. Then Braden opened and played with Rocket for another hour before we finished.

Christmas Eve Party

Braden loved playing with all his friends at our Christmas Eve party. The Simones, Conners, Garrisons, Ritners, and the Cooks celebrated with us.

Braden and Addy had fun decorating Christmas cookies this afternoon. The sprinkles were a HUGE hit...

Grand Illumination

We had a great time at the Grand Illumination on Sunday night with Lisa and Maureen. Braden loves Christmas decorations and was overwhelmed by all the Christmas trees, but the absolute highlights for him were the fife and drum performance and the fireworks. He danced and cheered for the drums. He was in shock at first when he saw the fireworks but then began to oohh and ahh and yell "Boom Boom Boom". He cried when both of them ended and looked to his parents for "more more". Oh only if we did control everything in the world... we haven't quite yet mastered the ability to produce fireworks on cue.

Christmas Parade

We had a great time at the Williamsburg Christmas Parade. Kristyn and I were blown away by the turnout; we thought we would avoid the crowds by not watching from Duke of Gloucester St. but there were crowds all up and down Richmond Rd. as well. Braden and Addy enjoyed hearing the bands, petting all the animals, and seeing all the motorcycles, cars, and big trucks. It was a little chilly but quite a parade... At first Braden and Addy were a little shocked by it all...
But they got into the spirit very quickly...

One of the many many dogs in the parade... Rozy might need to make an appearance next year.
